2008-09 Student Trustees

Governor Dave Heineman has appointed the following students to serve on the board in a non-voting capacity.  The students were nominated for the position by their colleges.  They share their opinions on the issues facing the board, communicating the student's perspective and concerns.

Rich Kunckel represents Chadron State College.  Rich is a senior majoring in criminal justice.  he is a Blue Key honorary society president, a Constitutional Court senator, Student Senate member and involved in C Activities Board as a Blue Key representative.

Taylor Dunekacke represents Peru State College.  Taylor is a senior majoring in elementary education and elementary special education with a minor in coaching.  He has been a Senior Residence Life Assistant and student ambassador.  He has also been an active member of the Peru State Education Association and intramural sports.

Amanda Gehle represents Wayne State College.  Amanda is a senior majoring in chemistry health science, Spanish and biology.  She is a resident assistant, Spanish Club president, Health Science Club member, and Habitat for Humanity participant in Wayne.  Amanda is also night manager in the student center and teaches ESL classes at the Multicultural Center.
