Scholarships
The Nebraska State College System offers various scholarships through each college and the System Office. Three scholarships are offered through the Nebraska State College System Office. They include the competitive/merit based Board of Trustees Scholarship and the Governor's Opportunity Award. In addition competitive/need based Davis-Chambers Scholarships are offered at each of the Colleges. Additional information follows:
Board of Trustees’ Scholarship (competitive/merit based)
provides full-tuition scholarships for Nebraska high school graduates who score a 25 or above on their ACT or 1700 on SAT and plan to attend college the following fall.
The Nebraska State College System Board of Trustees is currently offering full-tuition scholarships to attend Chadron, Peru or Wayne State Colleges. The renewable scholarships will be awarded for the 2012-13 academic year and represent a more than $15,400 financial award when renewed over four years.

Governor's Opportunity Award (competitive/merit based)
provides half of the tuition costs for Nebraska high school graduates who score between 21 and 24 on the ACT or between 1500 and 1650 on the SAT and plan to attend college the following fall.
In partnership with Governor Dave Heineman, the Nebraska State College System is currently offering half-tuition Governor Opportunity Awards to attend Chadron, Peru or Wayne State College. The renewable scholarships will be awarded for the 2012-13 academic year and represent a more than $7,700 financial award when renewed over four years.

Davis-Chambers Freshman Scholarship (competitive/need based)
provides up to $2,000 financial assistance annually to academically promising Nebraska high school graduates who have a 3.0 grade point average and meet additional requirements.

Davis-Chambers Transfer Student Scholarship (competitive/need based)
provides up to $2,000 financial assistance annually to academically promising Nebraska Community College transfer students who have a 3.0 grade point average and meet additional requirements.

Chadron State College
Chadron State College offers a variety of scholarships for all students, including freshman, continuing and transfer students. These scholarships are awarded based on academic ability and extracurricular activities. Scholarship information and applications are available at www.csc.edu/finaid. Scholarships may also be awarded through various departments at Chadron State College and may require separate applications. This information is indicated at www.csc.edu/finaid. under the scholarship listings. Application deadline is January 15 for Freshman students and March 1 for Current and Transfer students.
Peru State College
Peru State College offers a wide range of scholarships for prospective students. In order to be considered for PSC scholarships (exclusions are the Board of Trustees Scholarship, Davis Chambers Scholarship and Cooperating Schools Scholarship), students need to submit our Application for Admission & Scholarships available online at www.peru.edu/admissions, submit official high school/college transcripts, and submit official ACT or SAT test scores (not required for transfer students). Our scholarship priority date is January 15. Wayne State College
Wayne State College offers a variety of scholarships and opportunities for prospective students. Students who have shown successful academic and extracurricular participation during high school are eligible for consideration for merit scholarships. The deadline for priority consideration is December 1st.

Approximately 85 percent of undergraduate students receive financial aid totaling in excess of $13 million dollars. Our financial aid assists admitted students wherever possible based on documented student ability and/or need, in combination with available resources. No student should hesitate to apply to WSC because of cost.
