Governor's Opportunity Award

The Governor’s Opportunity Award is awarded by each College to one (1) resident student annually who graduated from a Nebraska high school or is a Nebraska resident and meets the following criteria:

  • Has a standardized test score of 21-24 for the ACT or 1060-1190 composite for SAT; and
  • Is enrolling for the first time in a postsecondary institution.

Students wishing to enroll at Chadron State and Wayne State Colleges must complete an application for admission and a general scholarship application to be considered for the Governor's Opportunity Award.

Students applying at Peru State College must complete an application for admission which also serves as Peru State's general scholarship application.
