The Nebraska State College System (NSCS) announced three recipients of the Davis-Chambers Scholarship Alyse Anderson, Dezirae Brown, and Michelle Wachter for the 2020-21 academic year.

Governor Ricketts appointed Marjean Terrell of Hay Springs to the Board of Trustees of the Nebraska State Colleges. Terrell was appointed to complete the term vacated by Michelle Suarez in December of 2019. The Nebraska Legislature will hold a committee hearing, debate, and vote to confirm the appointment.

Governor Pete Ricketts has appointed Konery Klueber of Rapid City, SD, Tyler Harms of Falls City, NE, and Amanda Jaixen of Platte Center, NE to serve as student trustees on the Nebraska State College System Board of Trustees.

Today, Governor Pete Ricketts, leaders of Nebraska’s public higher education institutions, and members of the business community launched the “Commit to Complete” campaign.  The statewide initiative aims to minimize college costs and grow the workforce by encouraging students to graduate on time.

The Board of Trustees approved a new strategic plan and three agreements to create seamless pathways for students to reach their education and create more opportunities for them to attain their career goals. 

Update from June Board of Trustees Meeting

The Board of Trustees for the NSCS unanimously voted to set tuition and fees for the next two years. Full-time students attending the State Colleges will pay an additional $4.50 per credit hour.

The renovation and addition of Chadron State College’s Math Science building is now a reality thanks to the recently approved budget by Nebraska State Senators and Gov. Pete Ricketts.
